Job Description
We are looking for a committed IT Support Technician to join our team and provide essential technical assistance to end-users. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems and related equipment. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware such as computers, printers, and peripherals. The role also involves troubleshooting network and connectivity issues, performing routine system checks, and assisting with the deployment of new IT devices. Maintaining accurate IT inventory records and documentation, ensuring regular data backups, and implementing basic security protocols are critical aspects of this position. Complex technical problems should be escalated to senior IT staff when necessary. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a starting salary of Rs50,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide timely technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
– Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices to ensure optimal operation.
– Troubleshoot network, internet, and connectivity problems to reduce downtime and maintain productivity.
– Conduct routine system checks, software updates, and preventive maintenance tasks.
– Assist in the setup and deployment of new IT equipment and devices.
– Maintain accurate records and documentation of all IT hardware and software assets.
– Ensure regular data backup procedures are followed and implement basic security measures to protect data integrity.
– Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel for timely resolution.
Required Qualifications
– Proven experience in providing technical support within an IT environment.
– Strong knowledge of computer hardware, printers, and peripheral devices.
– Familiarity with network troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
– Ability to perform routine system maintenance and software updates independently.
– Good organizational skills for maintaining IT inventory and documentation accurately.
– Basic understanding of data backup processes and security protocols.
– Effective communication skills to assist end-users and collaborate with IT team members.
