Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental monitoring, sampling, or related roles.
Requirements
Proficient in data management and analysis; familiar with environmental sampling techniques.
Experience with data entry software and environmental management systems.
Understanding of environmental regulations and best practices in monitoring and waste management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in remote and rugged field environments.
Responsibilities
Assist in implementing Barrick’s Sustainability Policy and associated procedures and standards.
Help develop environmental programs, inspections, controls, and consultations to maintain environmental and safety standards.
Aid in field-based environmental monitoring, sampling, and data collection.
Perform inspections of soil, water, waste management, flora, and fauna.
Participate in waste management strategies including hazardous waste identification, handling, and disposal.
Support development of environmental management plans and key strategies.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for environmental permits, regulatory submissions, and stakeholder consultations.
Provide technical support including data entry, reporting, and communication with staff, contractors, and consultants.
Support development and execution of environmental training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
